What is Al Athan?

Al Athan is Romman's all-in-one Islamic companion: accurate prayer times, the athan, the full Quran, the qibla, adhkar and du'a in a single app, designed to be the one reference a Muslim opens through the day. It is built to serve you in Ramadan and across the rest of the year, with a calm interface, clear typography and no charge for the core app.

How does it work?

On first launch the app reads your location and picks the calculation method and school of jurisprudence normally used where you are, so prayer times are right without you configuring anything. From there you choose which prayers alert you, which muezzin you hear, and how long before the athan you want a heads-up. Everything else — Quran, adhkar, tafsir, the tasbeeh — is one tap away from the same home screen, and the Quran works with no connection at all.

Getting the most out of it

1. Confirm the calculation method: the automatic pick is right for most countries, but check it against your local mosque once and adjust in settings if the two differ.
2. Set alerts per prayer: a full athan for Fajr and a short pre-reminder for the rest is usually the balance that survives a working day.
3. Allow location and notifications: prayer times, the qibla and nearby mosques all rely on location, and the athan cannot reach you with notifications denied.
4. Plan your khatma before Ramadan starts: set the pages-per-day target early and the tracker keeps you on pace.
