What is VPN Shield?
VPN Shield is a straightforward privacy app: it routes your phone's traffic through an encrypted tunnel to one of our servers around the world, so what you do on a shared or public network is not readable by whoever else is on it. There is no account to create and no configuration to learn — you pick a location and connect.
How does it work?
When you tap connect, the app builds an encrypted connection between your device and the server you chose. From that point your traffic leaves our server rather than your local network, which hides it from other devices on the same Wi-Fi and changes the region your connection appears to come from. Tap again to disconnect and your phone goes straight back to its normal connection.

When a VPN actually helps
The clearest case is a network you do not control — an airport, a hotel, a café, a shared office. On those networks other devices can see far more of your traffic than most people expect, and an encrypted tunnel is what closes that gap.
